Bentley

Bentley campus is well known for it’s quality training, in particular hospitality, fashion and vet nursing studies. Parking is free and our passionate lecturers are all highly knowledgeable and supportive. 
We have a dedicated training restaurant at Bentley which provides our students with practical hospitality experience to ensure students graduate work-ready.

Bentley has been home to Perth’s leading fashion training for almost 50 years. Our fashion design and business courses provide students with versatile design and business study skills that get them jobs in a fast-paced, global industry. 

Bentley campus is across the road from Curtin University and next to Technology Park. Just 10 minutes from the Perth CBD, we’re part of one of the largest educational and technology precincts in Western Australia.

Facilities

Bentley campus features a library for the use of students on campus.

The library provides:

  • A large and diverse resource collection of books, magazines and DVDs, both physical and online
  • Assistance with researching for information and answers to reference enquiries
  • Information sessions on library and information services, supported with published and online information guides
  • Assistance with study, referencing and learning skills
  • Networked and wireless computer areas
  • Access to electronic information such as internet and databases

Bentley campus cafeteria is open daily during teaching periods. TV and a pool table are available for students in the surrounding cafeteria seating area.

Monday to Friday: 
7.00am to 3.00pm 

During holidays: 
9.30am to 3.00pm
(subject to change)

Vending machines are also provided in the C Block Cafeteria and the 2nd floor B Block Foyer.

Bookings for catering are available ext. 4141.

Bentley’s on-campus bakery is open Monday to Friday between 12 noon and 3pm.

The bakery retail space can be found in the corridor between Bentley Pines Training Restaurant and the Cafeteria building.

Stock is limited dependent on the bakery students’ training schedule and so can include a variety of breads, cakes, slices and desserts. 

The Student Veterinary Clinic provides a service to students, staff and the public by appointment only.

You can bring your pet to the hospital to be cared for by a qualified veterinarian with assistance from our Veterinary Nursing students.

South Metropolitan TAFE’s Gold Plate-awarded Bentley Pines training restaurant offers five-star dining for lunch and dinner at greatly reduced prices. The Bistro is perfect for those looking for morning tea, a quick lunch bite or afternoon tea. Visitors are served by hospitality students, food is prepared by cookery and patisserie students, and at time events students create special experiences for restaurant patrons. Menus are discounted to encourage visitors to the restaurant to support the training of students.

Smart Travel
We recommend all visitors to campuses take advantage of our Smart Travel information to ease congestion on and around our campuses.

Parking
Parking is available for students in student-marked parking bays. The Bentley campus car park comes under the jurisdiction of the Town of Victoria Park parking by-laws. Infringement notices are issued to persons who do not comply with the following regulations:

  • Parking is restricted to marked bays
  • Students are not permitted to park in areas marked staff or director parking only bays
  • Speed limit is 15km per hour
  • No reckless or dangerous driving

Public transport
Bentley campus enjoys bus services connecting Hayman Road to Perth. Visit Transperth's Journey Planner(opens in a new tab) , using South Metropolitan TAFE Bentley campus as a landmark to plan your trip or collect a timetable from the Customer Service Centre on campus.
